Day 01: KIA to Anuradhapura Distance -183 km Approx 3 hours 30 minutes
Upon Arrival to Colombo International Airport, you will met and assisted by Suri tour Managing director Suranga Silva or one of Suri Tours chauffer guide. After you will transfer to Anuradhapura

Anuradhapura
is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its
well-preserved ruins of an ancient Sri Lankan civilization. It was
the third capital of the Kingdom of Rajarata, following the kingdoms
of Tambapanni and Upatissa Nuwara.
The city, now a UNESCO World
Heritage Site, was the center of Theravada Buddhism for many
centuries.
Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi
Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is sacred fig tree in the Mahamewna Gardens, It is said to be the right-wing branch (southern branch) from the historical Sri Maha Bodhi at Budha Gaya in India under which Lord Buddha attained Enlightenment. It was planted in 249 BC, and is the oldest living human-planted tree in the world with a known planting date. Today it is one of the most sacred relics of the Buddhist in Sri Lanka and respected by Buddhists all over the world.

Day 02 : Anuradhapura to Polonnaruwa Polonnaruwa /Sigiriya Distance -112 km Approx 2 hours 30 minutes)
After the breakfast you will proceed to Polonnaruwa

Sri Lanka's medieval capital (11th - 12th Century AD) is a well-preserved city of ancient dagobas, moonstones, beautiful parks, massive buildings and stunningly beautiful statues. The majestic King's Council Chamber, the Lotus Bath, the Lanka Thilaka Viharaya, the Gal Viharaya (rock temple) and the statue of one of Polonnaruwa’s, great kings, Parakramabahu, are a few of this capital's memorable sights. The Sea of Parakrama - a vast 12th century man-made reservoir dominates the city. Although it is nearly 1000 years old, it is much younger than Anuradhapura, and is in much better repair. Moreover, the monuments here are located in a more compact area.

After lunch you will proceed to sigiriya
Sigiriya
Sigiriya (Lion's rock),is an ancient rock fortress and palace ruin situated in the central Matale District of Sri Lanka, surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. A popular tourist destination, Sigiriya is also renowned for its ancient paintings (frescos)which are reminiscent of the Ajanta Caves of India. It is one of the seven World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka.Sigiriya may have been inhabited through prehistoric times. It was used as a rock-shelter mountain monastery from about the 5th century BC, with caves prepared and donated by devotees to the Buddhist Sangha. According to the chronicles as Mahavamsa the entire complex was built by King Kashyapa (AD 477 – 495), and after the king's death, it was used as a Buddhist monastery until 14th century.

Day 3: – Dambulla / Matale / Kandy Distance -89 km Approx 2 hour)

Thereafter
we proceed to Kandy via Matale. At Matale you will visit a spice
garden where you will see many different types of spices for which
Sri Lanka is famous. Just 25 km from the hill capital of Kandy, the
Matale spice gardens are among the best on the island. You will be
introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are
grown and processed. A processing and training unit has been set up
in the area and farmers are grouped in a cooperative to ensure fair
prices and you will also be able to purchase spices.
Minneriya National park Safari
Minneriya National Park is situated in the north-central plains of Sri Lanka, 20 kilometers from Polonnaruwa. The park encompasses the beautiful Minneriya tank, built by King Mahasena (in 3rd century AD). This tank is an incredible place to observe the elephants that come to bathe and graze on the grasses as well as the huge flocks of birds (cormorants, painted storks, open-bills, Pelicans and many other species of waders) that come to fish in the shallow waters. Thereafter proceed to Minneriya.

Day 4: – Matale / Kandy Distance -89 km Approx 2 hour)

Kandy
Kandy is a city in the center of Sri Lanka. It was the last capital of the ancient kings' of Sri Lanka. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which has an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. It is both an administrative and religious center. It is the capital of the Central Province (which encompasses the districts of Kandy, Matale and Nuwara Eliya) and also of Kandy District. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) one of the most revered places of worship for the Buddhist community of Sri Lanka and Buddhists all around the world. It was declared a world heritage by the UNESCO in 1988.

After a tour of the botanical Gardens you will visit the Gem Museum in Kandy. The Sri Lankan gem industry has a very long and colorful history. Sri Lanka was affectionately known as Ratna-Dweepa which means Island of Gems. The name is a reflection of its natural wealth. Marco polo wrote that the island had the best sapphires, topazes, amethysts, and other gems in the world.

Galle is the capital city of Southern Province of Sri Lanka and it lies in Galle District.Galle was known as Gimhathiththa (although Ibn Batuta in the 14th century refers to it as Qali) before the arrival of the Portuguese in the 16th century, when it was the main port on the island. Galle reached the height of its development in the 18th century, during the Dutch colonial period.
